We offer a variety of Panamanian rums from two different distilleries. These rums are distilled from locally grown sugarcane molasses and bottled in Panama without added sugar, color or flavors.

CANE HARVEST

Introducing our purest expression of Grander Rum. This rum is crafted from 100% Heavy distillate, a unique choice evident in its bold aroma and rich flavors. In Panama, traditional distilleries produce both Heavy and Light distillates, blending them to create the classic Panamanian rum profile. As the name suggests, Heavy distillate is robust and full-bodied, while Light distillate offers a softer touch. Our unaged rum is distilled from freshly harvested estate-grown sugarcane molasses and remains untouched by additives, making it a versatile muse for cocktail enthusiasts.

8 YEAR OLD

Grander Rum 8 Year Old

Aged for a minimum 8 years in ex-bourbon American White Oak Barrels. The barrels were previously used 2-3 times to age rum, resulting in a soft influence from the oak and bourbon.

“Banana and molasses are classic on this golden Panamanian rum. Buoyant flavors of light brown sugar and fried plantains are ornamented by clove and allspice that linger on long after each sip’ – Ultimate Spirits Challenge

EL TORO

Black marlins, known as the “Bull of the Sea” for their strength, size, and endurance, are a rare and beautiful sight off the coast of Panama. In honor of these majestic creatures, we present El Toro (The Bull), a blend of rich, flavorful rums that have matured in large oak vats and ex-bourbon barrels.

12 YEAR OLD

Grander Rum 12 Year Old

The is the natural color of this rum after aging a minimum of 12 years in ex-bourbon American White Oak Barrels. The color of the rum is a natural occurrence from the barrels used, which are barrels previously used 4-5 times to age rum, some which previously held sherry. At this point, the barrel is approaching a neutral status, hence the light color and minimal oak influence. It is a beautiful rum to enjoy.

“Soft and perfumed aromas of white honey with whipped cream, coconut shavings, and sugar cane are indulgent on the nose. A touch of sweetness hits the palate yet profound flavors of vanilla and warm spice. An absolute delight.” – Ultimate Spirits Challenge

TOASTED OAK

Did you know? We offer single barrels of rum as private picks to select buyers, often finished in a second barrel. From our many barrel picks, the toasted oak barrel finishes have consistently stood out as a favorite. While these exclusive barrel picks are typically reserved for specific stores or clubs, we’ve decided to share the unique flavors of our toasted oak finish as a small batch release.

TROPHY RELEASE

Grander Rum Trophy Release

Natural factors, like the climate a barrel experiences in an aging warehouse or the specific trees used for barrel staves, play a part in shaping the taste of our rum. It’s exciting to walk through the aging warehouse, tap open a barrel and taste. One really never knows what to expect until you taste what’s inside. No matter how similar they may appear, each barrel is unique with its own fingerprint.

Which brings us to Trophy Release. This rum is crafted in small batches: a blend of rums from a variety of barrels. Each batch produced is unique, different from the last and is completely dependent upon those barrels selected. One thing is consistent, we only select rums at least 8 years in age and up to 15. The founder is the one who hand selects each rum that goes into the blend. He looks for ‘trophy’ barrels where the rum exhibits robust and interesting characteristics.

BARREL SERIES RYE FINISH

Grander Rum Rye Finish

Rye is bold, distinctive and finishing a rum in rye barrels in uncommon. The result is a remarkable combination of spice and subtle sweetness.

“On the palate, though, the rum explodes. First is the rush of dense chocolate, vanilla, and baking spice one would expect, again with an edge of slightly funky molasses character. It takes only a second for the rye to make its presence known. Big and peppery, with a sharpness that immediately evokes whiskey more than rum, the spice slowly fades into a brown butter note that melds both the whiskey and rum worlds.” – Drinkhacker, Batch 1908-R
